When you say "one gill is closed" - do you mean it is clamped tightly and doesn't move at all? So, when you say it is 'breathing heavy' do you mean it is only using one gill, and the movement of that gill is very rapid? What are the water parameters in the QT Tank? (Any details you can provide would be really helpful! )Ĭan I ask how you determined that the Koi had flukes? (ie did you notice unusual behaviour (flashing, head-shaking etc)? Did you scrape and scope? Other?) Is this Koi in a QT Tank (quarantined from any other fish/Koi you may have?)
